We all know that e-commerce companies are on the front line of dealing with fraudulent customers. But did one particular company play a role in helping the Department of Justice nab an identity theft ring? Or did they facilitate criminal activity? Clearly, e-gold’s participation in the bust was not only significant, they were responsible for the information that found the culprits. However, they received no credit for their responsible actions. That’s poor on behalf of the USSS.
