Talk about your holiday travel nightmare…
The holiday travel season in China is pretty tough this year. Weeks of heavy snow storms have created big time problems for the country’s rail and bus systems. This story from CNN cites 5.8 million passengers delayed throughout the railway system, including some 800,000 stranded at the Guangzhou railway station during the worst of it. There’s some pretty scary video of the crowds here.
It won’t be a huge comfort, but the next time your flight is delayed two hours while they de-ice the plane, just think it could always be worse…
